Hyderabad's blue-collar jobs sit in three very different places: the bulk-drug belt at Patancheru, the old IDA engineering estates in the north, and the tech campuses of HITEC City that run round the clock. Telangana also rewrote its minimum wages from 1 June 2026. Godstone Consultech recruits, onboards and pays contract and temporary staff for Hyderabad employers, managed from our Chennai office.
Share the area, roles and shift pattern. We come back with an itemised rate card on the new Telangana rates.
We are a Chennai company and do not have a branch in Hyderabad, which is about 630 km from our Guindy office, a short flight or an overnight train. We recruit locally, onboard at your premises, appoint a coordinator for larger teams and visit on a schedule. Payroll, PF, ESI, Telangana professional tax and labour welfare fund are handled centrally.
Hyderabad requirements are usually specific: pharma plants need people who will follow gowning and documentation rules, and campuses need facility teams who turn up at 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. alike. We screen for those behaviours as well as for skill.
Pharma to the north-west, engineering in the north, tech in the west, biotech to the north-east and new manufacturing near the airport. Pick a belt to see the employers there, the roles they need and the commute and shift issues to plan for.
Site in Sangareddy, Medak or Yadadri districts? Send the location. Telangana's wage zone depends on whether the site is in a corporation, a municipality or a gram panchayat.
Telangana changed its minimum wage structure in 2026 and already had its own rules on working hours and shop registration. These are the rules that matter for contract and temporary staff.
| Rule | What applies in Hyderabad | What we handle |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum wages | From 1 June 2026 (G.O.Ms.No.6), Telangana moved to four skill categories (unskilled to highly skilled) and three zones: municipal corporations including Hyderabad and Secunderabad (Zone I), municipalities (Zone II) and gram panchayats (Zone III). For shops and establishments, Zone I monthly rates are ₹16,000 unskilled to ₹20,000 highly skilled. The VDA is revised in April and October. | We map each role to a skill category and zone, and apply each VDA revision from its effective date. |
| Professional tax | Monthly: nil up to ₹15,000; ₹150 for ₹15,001–₹20,000; ₹200 above ₹20,000. | We register with the Telangana commercial taxes department, deduct and remit monthly. |
| Labour welfare fund | ₹2 from the employee and ₹5 from the employer each year, deducted by 31 December and paid by 31 January. | We deduct and pay it for every worker on our rolls. |
| Shops & establishments | Offices, campuses and warehouses register online under the Telangana Shops and Establishments Act, 1988 (via the Labour Department or TS-iPASS). The State has allowed establishments to open 24x7 on payment of an annual fee, and in 2025 allowed commercial establishments to schedule up to 10 hours a day within the weekly limit. | We keep hours, weekly offs and overtime inside the limits your registration allows. |
| Pharma & hazardous processes | Bulk-drug and chemical plants carry OSH Code duties for hazardous processes: medical examinations, exposure monitoring, protective equipment and trained supervision. No one under 18 may work in hazardous processes. | We verify age, collect medical fitness records and brief on PPE before a worker enters a hazardous area. |
| Labour Codes & contract labour | The four Labour Codes apply from 21 November 2025. Telangana's State rules were still at draft stage as of September 2026, so earlier State rules continue where they do not conflict. Contractor licensing under the OSH Code applies at 50 or more contract workers. | We confirm registration and licensing needs for your headcount before deployment. |

In our experience, most early exits in Hyderabad come from housing, transport and process discipline, not from pay.
A worker who skips a gowning step or a logbook entry creates an audit finding. We screen for documentation habits and brief on GMP basics, so your training time goes on your SOPs, not on the fundamentals.
The pharma and construction belts rely on workers from other States. The OSH Code requires written terms for inter-State migrant workers and an annual journey allowance to their home State. We give them written terms in a language they understand and check housing before deployment.
Facility teams for tech campuses must cover early and late shifts across long commutes. We source along your transport routes and hold back a trained standby for critical shifts.
Behaviour-based screening, a fixed pay date with a clear payslip, and a coordinator who calls new joiners in their first weeks. That combination keeps most teams stable.
Pharma, engineering and campus roles need very different screens. This is what we test for each.
| Role | Where the demand is | What we check before deployment |
|---|---|---|
| Pharma packing & line staff | Patancheru, Pashamylaram, Jeedimetla | GMP and hygiene basics, gowning practice, logbook and documentation discipline, medical fitness |
| Lab & QC assistants | Genome Valley, pharma QC labs | Qualification check (B.Sc./diploma), lab-safety briefing, sample-handling basics |
| CNC / VMC operators | Balanagar, Jeedimetla, Adibatla | Machine-specific trade test, offset and tool change, measurement with instruments |
| Electronics & assembly operators | Kongara Kalan, Adibatla | Dexterity and ESD awareness, work-instruction reading, shift and transport fit |
| Housekeeping & pantry | HITEC City, Gachibowli, Financial District | Reference check, hygiene and chemical-handling briefing, early and late shift availability |
| Warehouse & logistics | Medchal, Shamshabad, Kothur | Licence and load test for operators, scanner and pick-accuracy trial |
Hyderabad has hundreds of local agencies. This is where we add value, and where one of them may serve you better.
